Summer Orienteering!

Navigation Games will provide several opportunities for you to orienteer in the Boston area this summer! We have 10 teen interns this summer who are learning orienteering and event management, and who will help make these great events happen!

  • Cambridge Plays: A weekly series of public events in Cambridge Parks aimed at families, beginners, summer campers, and orienteers interested in a short training activity. Come any time between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.

    • Joan Lorentz Park, Thursday July 18

    • Peabody School, Thursday July 25

    • Riverside Press Park, Thursday August 8

    • Sennott Park, Thursday August 15

  • Learn to navigate in the woods! Thursday August 1 - pre-registration required; registration closes July 25. Aimed at families and beginners.

  • Children in grades 2-6 will learn orienteering July 8-11 from 1:30-3:30 at Nahanton Park in Newton. More info & registration here.

  • Brookline Recreation is offering two-week Nature Camps that will include an orienteering class with Navigation Games. We'll be working with the Rangers (Grades 5-6, 8/5-8/16) and the Adventures (Grades 7-8, 8/19-8/23).

  • August 7th Navigation Games on George's Island - an event for families, summer camps, and beginning orienteers, made possible with a grant from Boston Harbor Now. The orienteering is free; limited free ferry tickets available.

  • August 17th Orienteering on Peddock's Island - orienteering races co-hosted by the New England Orienteering Club, with a grant from Boston Harbor Now
